It happens very seldom, and the forced inbreeding for white tigers is man-made genetic engineering, still with very unpredictable results – except lots of problems. Sahib’s litter-mate, Sultan, was a regular orange and black tiger.

We are glad Sahib got to EFRC with his brother Sultan, who has since died. We first met Sahib 20 years ago. Thank You to ALL the Sanctuaries who made homes for the WAO tigers and Tammy Quist Thies who helped them get there!
