This is Alex taking his first step into a grassy enclosure at the Black Beauty Ranch after he was rescued from a drug dealer in Kansas in 2013. We gave Alex—and cougars Charley and Buttons—a ride to Texas. He is 5 years old and enjoys the luxurious new big cat habitat at BBR and loves to swim in the pool and climb on the waterfall.
