“Solomon, along with his three siblings and two tiger cubs, came to In-Sync Exotics from a breeding facility in Wisconsin in 2014. The facility was being shut down due to unhealthy living conditions and non-compliance issues with the USDA.
“In February 2020, Solomon showed signs of paralysis on his left side. An MRI showed he had suffered a fibrocartilaginous embolism, which is basically a spinal cord stroke. After months of medical treatment and physical therapy, Solomon recovered from the paralysis and was able to go back to his normal life and enjoy his huge playground again. The only remaining issue was that he had lost the use of his front left paw, in which he continued to receive medical care and physical therapy for. We also covered the concrete floor of his inside enclosure with padding to help him better grip and protect the injured paw. Three years after his stroke, he started using the injured paw again. We never gave up on his recovery and it paid off.
“Solomon is a sweet tiger, who will capture your heart with his big baby blue eyes. He loves playing and napping on his playground, as well as chuffing at his sister India who lives next door to him. He is a happy tiger who has a strong will to live his best life…and we are so grateful.”
