Loving Life

Finalist in the 2025 Tigers in America-Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries annual photo and video contest to celebrate International Tiger Day.

“Zachariah came to In-Sync Exotics in December of 2019 from a private owner. Zachariah is a liger, which is a hybrid of a male lion and a female tiger. Hybrids have a high occurrence of neurological, physical, and behavioral issues and it is a truly unethical breeding practice. When Zachariah first arrived, he was severely underweight, had difficulty walking and had such bad coordination, he could barely eat. Over time, with medical care and a nutritious diet, Zachariah began to recover. He first began to walk more normally, learned to eat his dinner, and finally was able to run and play like a healthy cat. He now is healthy, active, and eats perfectly. His favorite things are his toys, big cardboard boxes, and the visits of his favorite caregivers. He is loving every day of his life now.”
