The Young & The Restless
One of the most challenging and long-running endeavors for a Sanctuary is providing habitats and care for their youngest tigers. Young tigers have almost infinite energy and enough curiosity to strain the imaginations of their human caretakers.
Tigers of any age get bored easily—life in captivity is similar to the human condition of being unemployed—and often that spells trouble with a capital T. Keeping tigers busy and entertained is a full time job. Here are photos of the youngest tigers living at the sanctuaries we work with—some are very young and some are quite a bit older, but it’s easy to see they are enjoying life.
Many of the tigers that live in these Sanctuaries are much older and the Sanctuaries through necessity have become experts in caring for geriatric tigers. For direct links to these sanctuaries see here.
