Sitarra

Sitarra (which means “Star of India”) weighed just 2 lbs 12 oz at birth. She is curious and intelligent, and has mastered operant conditioning commands such as sit, lay, stay, up and come. These commands help their keepers to work safely around the tigers, check their physical condition and determine if medical attention is indicated.

Sitarra is fascinated by people and is usually the first to greet anyone who approaches their enclosure. She is more independent than Tabu, but the sisters are very close. You can usually find them cuddled up together sleeping, romping and playing, or watching the farm animals at LTB.
